Gaining Your Sector Scheme Approval

We are fully qualified to provide all of the necessary training for the Sector Scheme FOUND01 qualification. This qualification is the basic requirement for Sector Scheme approval and is the first gained by all Approved Persons. In addition our Authorising Officers and Qualifying Supervisors can review students’ portfolios and offer advice before submission to the HEA.

We offer a 3 day course covering Manual Handling, First Aid, the ECS Test and portfolio building. The course takes workers with no previous site work qualification and in 3 days provides all the skills necessary for HEA Sector Scheme approval. Further training in specific skills areas can be added to the 3 day course if required.

Sector Scheme Training

For engineers already having Sector Scheme approval SSL offers a full range of courses associated with Highway Electrical Sector Academy approval.

Our training meets the requirements of

  • National Highways Sector Scheme 8 (NHSS 8);
  • The Highway Electrical Registration Scheme (HERS);
  • The Knowledge Requirements of the relevant units of CBQ-NVQ Levels 2 and 3 for the Highway Electrical Sector Academy.

We are fully equipped to teach all candidates and can tailor a course to meet your particular candidate learning needs.

Our Approved Trainers meet the requirements and standards set by the Highway Electrical Sector Academy in partnership with Lantra Awards and are trained to City & Guilds Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (7303 level 3). As an Approved Training Organisation it is our responsibility to ensure that effective training is achieved to industry wide standards.
